Heaven knows, our criminal justice system is broken! The U.S. now incarcerates one out of every 100 adults and, among all of the states, Virginia is number one in sending our youth to the cops and the courts – feeding the school-to-prison pipeline. Help us change this!
Justice based on lovingkindness (benevolence/do no harm) is called “unitive justice .” It can guide us away from what happened in Ferguson, Baltimore and Charleston.
The Alliance for Unitive Justice (AUJ) uses unitive justice in its restorative Justice programs and AUJ trains people in unitive justice principles. Check out our website: a4uj.org. We’ve already made a difference.
