What is Unitive Justice?

Unitive Justice is a parallel system of justice based on lovingkindness and connection rather than punishment, revenge or getting even.

This system has no punitive elements and is grounded on principles that emphasize:

  • Increasing community strength and self-empowerment

  • Fostering inclusivity, equality and participation

  • Encouraging synergy, unity and connectedness

  • Achieving mutually beneficial actions and outcomes

  • Embracing values such as trust, honesty, insight and compassion

Training Objectives:

The main goal for this training is for participants to understand there is an option when it comes to justice—we can choose love instead of vengeance—and how each system works.

At the end of this training, participants will:

  • Know what Unitive Justice is and how it seeds increased social safety and well-being for all.

  • Learn about the 14 Arcs to Unitive Justice as a path to transformation.

  • Find ways to move from a punitive system to a unitive system in their own lives and communities.

  • Discover within conflict opportunities and ways to produce healing and recognize our shared humanity.

  • Understand what restorative circles are and the basics of circle facilitation.

  • Identify real-life steps for Unitive Living that participants can apply immediately.

Donation Opportunities:

During the workshop you will be invited to give more for those offering the training and the organizations sponsoring the workshop, based on your ability to pay and its value to you. Workshops of comparable length and practicality often cost between $400 and $600, but we accept what is given.

Those who have done this workshop before are welcome to register. Come review and learn the latest best practices.
